StormRend - Realm in Ruin
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Gather 'round the campfire and allow me to regale you with this tale of heroism and valour!
It begins at the World Tree; we all know it's life-giving roots spread across the Realms, sustaining us. But, a dark force has its sight set on destroying it: Frost Trolls, wicked creatures of malformed intent, who exist only to destroy! With the fate of the Realms at stake, the gods summoned their Champions to come to its aid.
It is here where our story begins - at the base of the World Tree - with our three Champions, the evil Frost Trolls, and most importantly... you!
Defeat the Frost Trolls, defend the World Tree and save the Realms from being plunged into an Eternal Winter in this Norse-mythology inspired turn-based tactics game.

I love games like this!
I had a ton of fun playing the demo! It is a fast-paced turn-based strategy game, and like how the environment adds to the playstyle.
Also, interesting combat style, the way it works with the 'bars' at the bottom, or the blizzard building up.
The only points of 'criticism' (if you want to call it that) would be that I missed watching the enemy move. They kind of just teleport, which is unfortunate. Also, I think some sort of tutorial or pop up on how to use different skills when a new character is introduced would be helpful.
That all being said, I'll be following this game and would love to play more of it!
I also made a video with my experience playing the game, feel free to use it to promote the game or something, would be honoured!
Sorry for the late response, thanks so much for playing! That's a fair point of feedback, ideally we wanted to have all enemies moving, but due to our budget we had to scope down in some aspects of the game.
We're glad you enjoyed the game! Unfortunately, StormRend is not being developed any further at this time, however, that may change in the future
Good morning. I had a lot of fun and I think there are all the elements for a great game. , so I hope you develop the project further more.
Thanks so much for playing, glad you enjoyed it! At the moment, we don't have plans to continue development unfortunately, though that may change in the future :D
Hey! This was an awesome vertical slice of what could be an awesome game. I liked the combat system and that they each had unique abilities.
However, once you get Valkyrie and the Mage, the game can kinda just be whiffed by constantly moving enemies near edges and using leap. This could be balanced in a few ways, first that comes to mind is having leap not affect very large enemies (unbudging or something like that).
Overall very fun and the opening was fantastically surprising to have such high quality voice acting.
Thanks! That idea sounds cool, definitely something that could work in a larger scale version of this project.
Thanks for playing! Hope you enjoyed it
